Herman J. Mujsce Jr. died, surrounded by his family, on August 29, 2018, at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. He was 85.

He was born Brooklyn on August 10, 1933, to Herman and Helen Mujsce.

Mr. Mujsce is survived by his wife Rita (DeVeau); 11 children, Dennis Mujsce and wife Debbie, Kenneth Mujsce and wife Lorraine, Siobhan Kempf and husband Chris, Michael Mujsce and wife Deborah, Dodi Carragher and husband Pat, David Mujsce, Darren Mahoney and wife Kathy, Stacey Mujsce and Michael, Thomas Mujsce, Beverly Ringhoff, and Jeffrey Mujsce. He is also survived by siblings Josephine Zygmont and husband Stanley, Anthony Mujsce and wife Marilyn, and Michael Mujsce and wife Stacey; 21 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Scott-Rothwell Funeral Home in Hampton Bays.

Family Fun Day Set At Hampton Bays Church

The Hampton Bays Assembly of God will host a Family Fun Day on Saturday, June 7, from 11 a.m to 3 p.m. The rain date is Sunday, June 8. All are invited to the free event that will include face painting, crafts, games, music, food, an inflatable obstacle course and bounce house, animal shelter dog walking and an educational exhibit from the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Refuge. Teeny Awards To Be Presented on June 8

East End Arts & Humanities Council, Inc. will present its 23rd annual Teeny Awards on Sunday, June 8, at 3 p.m. at Greenport High School, A red carpet event starts at 1 p.m. The 2025 Teeny Awards ceremony, hosted by WLIW’s Gianna Volpe and produced by Kasia Klimiuk, will feature performances by over 100 high school theater students, while presenters consisting of leaders in theater, as well as the local community, present a variety of awards for the 2024/25 high school theater season. Air Force Major General Michael Bank, the commander of the New York Air National Guard, has announced the recent promotion of members of the New York Air National Guard in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership. Edward Metcalf from Westhampton Beach, assigned to the 106th Rescue Wing, received a promotion April 1 to the rank of master sergeant.
