Congressman Lee Zeldin sent an email to constituents on Sunday, recycling his efforts to save Plum Island. It was an affront to patriots who are still reeling from the attempted coup his vote supported on Wednesday.
He has shown his loyalty to Trump over a country he professes to love. He placed his perceived political future over the safety of colleagues, their staffs and the Capitol Police, the real heroes of this story.
I am disgusted that he continues to fail to tell the truth about the election.
He is not worthy of a seat at the Capitol, the center of our democracy that was desecrated on Wednesday.
He should resign.
