Some people have picked up more balloons on the beach than me, but not many.
The other day, I picked up 40 deflated balloons between Sagg Main and Jobs Lane (Mecox Beach).
Please do not ban balloons — make it illegal to let them go free. The gun does not kill, the person pulling the trigger does.
That is the trouble today: Nobody is responsible for their actions. They blame everything but the real culprit. Us (themselves).

Whatever happens with this Marsden vote, I’ll be happy to move on. Did we forget that it’s okay to disagree without being disagreeable? Running our schools is a complex endeavor. The board members are volunteers. They spent countless (thankless) hours...
I have recently become aware of the Shinnecock Indian Nation’s efforts to gain access to Coopers Beach in the Village of Southampton. Allowing access should be pursued without hesitation. It would represent a small gesture of acknowledgment and symbolically address...
