A Georgia man arrested late last month while camping inside a Hampton Bays cemetery will be extradited back to his home state to face multiple felony counts, authorities said.Southampton Town Police said 49-year-old Frederick Forster was camping in Good Ground Cemetery, which sits just off Montauk Highway and next door to the Hampton Bays United Methodist Church, to avoid facing criminal charges in Georgia.According to Town Police Lieutenant Susan Ralph, Mr. Forester was wanted in Georgia to face the following charges: DWI, impeding traffic flow and criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested at 1 a.m. on October 29 in the cemetery and charged as a fugitive from justice, a felony, police said.Lt. Ralph said that Mr. Forster is from Canton County, but a search showed no such place to exist there, only a Cherokee County. In its story, Newsday reported that Mr. Forester was wanted in Cherokee County.He was transported to police headquarters and remanded to the Suffolk County Jail in Riverside. He was still awaiting extradition as of earlier this week.
