Honeymoon Will End

The media coronation of Kamala Harris has wiped any memory of the embarrassing vice president from the minds of relieved Democrats now that the burden of a Joe Biden candidacy is over. A montage of the gushing commentary from the usual left-wing media is sophomoric in its adolescent puppy love. Harris as the second coming of the savior is textbook delusional. How any of these shills in the left-wing media can look themselves in the mirror is beyond me.

This enthusiasm for Team Kamala is reminiscent of the optimism a sports fan has for their team before the season starts: All is possible until the first pitch.

The woke crowd loves Harris for her San Franciscan Progressive roots. It was cringe-worthy to hear white women proclaim it their duty to use their “privilege” in support of this woman of color, though “Karens for Kamala” does have a nice ring to it. This honeymoon has a couple of weeks to run until the Dems’ convention is over and some white dude is picked as her vice president. He will be responsible for heading up “white dudes for Harris.” If you are white and trans, I guess you can join either group of sycophants.

The Democrat candidate from California has a record of positions and accomplishments prior to the wasteland of her years as VP. It is not hyperbole to pronounce her the most liberal among her peers during her short time as senator. She is to the left of Barack Obama himself. Race and gender are her bread-and-butter issues. Just what this country needs more of.

Her ascension as Joe Biden’s partner in the 2020 election was pure political horse trading. Then, candidate Biden was doing very poorly heading into the 2019 South Carolina primary. He was toast, until an old friend from the House of Representatives, James Clyburn, promised him South Carolina. The price: a woman of color (previously embarrassed as a candidate) to be his running mate.

Joe gulped hard but made the deal. A victory for diversity, equity and inclusion. But that decision cornered the 2024 Democrats. They wouldn’t risk opening up their selection process following the Biden withdrawal and completely ignored the voice of 14 million Democrat primary voters — and that’s how Democrats saved our democracy. For them, the end always justifies the means. If you couldn’t find a rationale for an open border, is it hard to imagine a Harris administration not creating a path to citizenship?

The honeymoon for Kamala Harris will end as Republicans refocus on her progressive threat to American values shamelessly promoted by a complicit left-wing media. Her own words should be taken as serious as a heart attack.
