Howard Burr Kelsey of Hightstown, New Jersey, formerly of Quogue and Llewellyn Park, New Jersey, died on Wednesday, January 14. He was 93.
Mr. Kelsey was a partner at the New York law firm of Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett. He graduated from the Hotchkiss School, Yale University in 1937, and Columbia Law School, and was a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Kelsey is survived by two daughters, Patricia K. Schultz of Richmond, Virginia, and Marjorie K. White of Annandale, Virginia; a son, Peter B. Kelsey of Lovettsville, Virgina; a sister, Elizabeth Kelsey Cameron; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Frances Voorhees Kelsey.
A funeral service will be held today, Thursday, January 22, at 11:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown. Interment will be on Friday, January 23, at 1 p.m. at the Quogue Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Llewellyn Park Preservation Foundation, 28 Oak Bend, Llewellyn Park, West Orange, NJ 07052 would be appreciated by the family.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Glackin/Saul Funeral Home in Hightstown, New Jersey.
