In A Panic

I am in a panic that I have heard from friends that there have been several cars stolen on South Main Street and on Huntting Street and on Wickapogue, and break-ins and home invasions on other streets near me, and yet I have not been contacted by the police.

Why is it, with all of the millions that we spend in tax dollars, that officers do not go door to door on the blocks or streets where these crimes are happening to warn us as to what is going on?

In all of the years that I have lived in the village, I have never seen a police officer on foot or on bike patrol in front of my house, and I only see police cars speeding by.

As a senior, I am beginning to feel unsafe in my home, and I am seriously considering leaving for good as soon as possible.
