Live Your Cor, Dana Barret Strong and Relic are joining forces to host a beach cleanup competition on Monday, October 10. For the Inlet 2 Inlet Charity Beach Cleanup, participants will be assigned to one of more than a dozen beaches from Hampton Bays to West Hampton Dunes, covering more than 15 miles of coastal beaches, and then return to the Great Lawn in Westhampton Beach for the trash weigh in at 3 p.m.

Registration is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Great Lawn where participants are given their assigned beach. After cleanup competitors depart, a fall fair will get in full swing.

The Live Your Cor Foundation was created in memory of young athlete and Westhampton Beach resident, Cory Hubbard, who was killed by a hit and run driver while crossing the street. The “Live Your Cor” mantra means live your heart and to spread love and respect wherever you go, the way that Cory lived his life, noted organizers. The goal of the foundation is to “pay it forward” by providing financial assistance to families who have suffered adversity or a personal hardship.

Dana Barrett Strong consists of the community of friends and family who support East Quogue native Dana Barrett, who was hurt in a pool accident and is now paralyzed from the neck down and unable to breathe on her own. Barrett’s spinal cord has been permanently damaged but doctors have said there is still hope with extensive rehabilitation. The rehabilitation is a considerable financial burden, as estimations that have been given to her family are thousands of dollars per day. The road to recovery will take years.

ARF Launches Student Holiday Card Contest

The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF) is calling on the creativity of local young artists with the launch of its 2025 Holiday Card Contest. Open to all students in grades 6 through 12, the contest invites participants to design ARF’s official holiday card, spreading cheer while celebrating the animals waiting for adoption at the ARF Adoption Center.

Beautification Association To Discuss Proposed Hotel

The Hampton Bays Beautification Association will meet on Monday, November 3, at 7 p.m. at the Hampton Bays Library. The meeting is open to all.
