Today, I voted for Tommy John Schiavoni for New York State Assembly. Tommy John, as a member of the Southampton Town Board, has always had the back of the East Quogue residents. Not only has he supported and attended our concerts, our holiday tree lighting ceremonies and civic meetings, but he has always offered a ready ear to listen to our concerns in East Quogue and to fight for us.
When Discovery Land’s mega development off Lewis Road in East Quogue, presently called the Lewis Road Planned Residential Development, was before the Southampton Town Planning Board, Tommy John was the only Town Board member who opposed on procedural grounds its approval by the Planning Board. Ed Romaine, as a member of the Pine Barrens Commission, opposed it for the same reasons.
Tommy John has proven that he has integrity and guts, and he won’t forget us in Albany. I urge all my friends and neighbors to vote for Tommy John Schiavoni for State Assembly.
