Isaura Marshall
Isaura Marshall of Hampton Bays died at Southampton Hospital Sunday, May 22. She was 89.
Ms. Marshall, known as “Bubby” to family and close friends, was born and raised in Southampton and graduated from Southampton High School on June 26, 1939. She attended Berkeley Secretarial School in Manhattan and graduated in 1941. She worked in Manhattan until 1946 when she left to marry Ernest F. Marshall on September 22, 1946. The couple worked for Western Union Labs in Water Mill until 1964. Ms. Marshall worked at Southampton College of Long Island University from November 1964 to her retirement in 1995. She enjoyed working and helping students at the college. She was an active participant in the First Presbyterian Church in Southampton and volunteered her time for many church events and services.
She is survived by a son, Jeffrey; a brother, Charles Frankenbach and his wife Barbara of Manhattan and South Carolina; a sister, May Griffin and her husband Donald of Westhampton Beach; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held at Southampton Cemetery on Tuesday, May 24.
