Several weeks ago, the riotous destroyers of our historic monuments unsuccessfully attempted to destroy President Lincoln’s emancipation memorial statue in Washington, D.C. What’s puzzling is how ignorant those protesters are about American history, since it was President Lincoln who freed the slaves, and his statue would be the least likely monument they’d try to demolish.
