Jack C. Richardson
Jack Christopher Richardson of Remsenburg died on Saturday, July 7, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was 79.
The son of Jack Sage Richardson and Ruth Frances Moore Richardson, he was born on September 30, 1932, in Southampton. He graduated from Southampton High School in 1950, served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged on June 30, 1961. He worked for The Southampton Press for 20 years before becoming a founding partner of Eastern Suffolk Printing, Inc. in Flanders.
Mr. Richardson is survived by his wife, Janet Tuthill Richardson; two daughters, Kimberly Ann Richardson of Remsenburg and Lisa Richardson Bennett of Pennsylvania; and two grandchildren, Lindsey and Chelsea Bennett. He is also survived by a brother, William Eugene and sister Millicent.
Visiting hours were Wednesday, July 11, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 12, also at the funeral home. Interment followed at Calverton National Cemetery.
