James T. Carroll
James T. Carroll of New Port Richey, Florida, formerly of Moriches, died on November 5. He was 89.
Mr. Carroll was a retired U.S. Air Force military sergeant and a founding member and former chief of the East Farmingdale Fire Department. He was also a 10-year member of Community Hospital Volunteers, serving at one time on its board.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Janet Carroll of Florida; two daughters, Nancy Carroll of Arizona and Lauretta Salvati of Yulan, New York; two stepsons, David Goldfarb of Hampton Bays and Kenneth Goldfarb of Tarrytown; nine grandchildren and a great-grandson.
His son, James Carroll, and daughter, Jane Carroll, predeceased him.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, November 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. and again from 7 to 9 p.m. at R.J. O’Shea Funeral Home in Hampton Bays. Firematic services will be held the same evening at 8 p.m. A funeral will be held on Friday, November 12, at 10:15 a.m. at R.J. O’Shea Funeral Home on East Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays.
