Jeanne Zinnanti of Southamtpon dies at 82

Jeanne (née Bramel) Zinnanti of Southampton died on February 9 at the Hebrew Home for the Aged in the Bronx. She was 82.

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1927, she worked at Parish and Hadley Interior Designers in New York City until her retirement.

She is survived by a son, Leonard F. Zinnanti of New York City. She was predeceased by her husband, Salvatore “Ben” Zinnanti.

Visitation was held on February 13 at the O’Connell Funeral Home in Southampton. Interment followed at Southampton Cemetery, where she was buried beside her husband.

Family Fun Day Set At Hampton Bays Church

The Hampton Bays Assembly of God will host a Family Fun Day on Saturday, June 7, from 11 a.m to 3 p.m. The rain date is Sunday, June 8. All are invited to the free event that will include face painting, crafts, games, music, food, an inflatable obstacle course and bounce house, animal shelter dog walking and an educational exhibit from the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Refuge. Teeny Awards To Be Presented on June 8

East End Arts & Humanities Council, Inc. will present its 23rd annual Teeny Awards on Sunday, June 8, at 3 p.m. at Greenport High School, A red carpet event starts at 1 p.m. The 2025 Teeny Awards ceremony, hosted by WLIW’s Gianna Volpe and produced by Kasia Klimiuk, will feature performances by over 100 high school theater students, while presenters consisting of leaders in theater, as well as the local community, present a variety of awards for the 2024/25 high school theater season. Air Force Major General Michael Bank, the commander of the New York Air National Guard, has announced the recent promotion of members of the New York Air National Guard in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership. Edward Metcalf from Westhampton Beach, assigned to the 106th Rescue Wing, received a promotion April 1 to the rank of master sergeant.
