Jennie Kolbe of Westhampton and Calverton died on Friday, September 26, at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, Connecticut. She was 98.

Mrs. Kolbe was born in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, on July 16, 1910, and was an active member of the Friends of the Library of Westhampton Beach for many years.

She is survived by a niece, Elizabeth Skolnick of Glastonbury, Connecticut; and two nephews, Steve Gabany of Paducah, Kentucky, and James Gabany of Alto Loma, California.

She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Kolbe.

A graveside funeral service was held on October 1, at the Westhampton Cemetery under the direction of the Follett and Werner Funeral Home.

Hampton Bays School District residents will be asked to vote for a $67,495,698 budget for the 2025-26 school year on Tuesday, May 20.
