Jerome W. Odell Dies At 63

Jerome W. Odell

Jerome W. Odell of Palm Coast, Florida, formerly of Southampton, died of lung cancer on Monday, April 4. He was 63.

Mr. Odell, also known as 
Jerry or Odee, was born in Southampton on April 15, 1947. He worked as a methods engineer with Northrop Grumman 
for the past 40 years. He began his career with Grumman in Sag Harbor and moved on to Bethpage, Calverton, and finally St. Augustine, Florida, where he worked for the past 28 years.

He loved his work and his family, and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. 
He was a wonderful friend who was always ready to 
help anyone. He will be greatly missed by many, survivors said.

Mr. Odell is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Lou Odell (née McMahon) of Florida; 
four children, Jeff Odell and Rick Herman of Florida, Donna Ledogar and Scott Herman of Hampton Bays; five grandchildren, Kennedy and Jade Odell of Florida, Sabrina, Kyle and Kayla Herman of Southampton; one great-grandchild, Dylan; and a brother, Clifford Odell 
of Illinois. He was predeceased by a brother, Harold Odell of Hampton Bays; and a sister, Althea Cangelosi of East 
Hampton.

A memorial service was 
held on Tuesday, April 12, in Florida.
