Jerrold Gertz Of Manhattan And Westhampton Beach Dies July 20

Jerrold E. Gertz

Jerrold E. Gertz of Manhattan and Westhampton Beach died on Friday, July 20. He was 88.

Mr. Gertz summered in Westhampton Beach for more than 50 years. He served on the board of directors of the Dune Road Association and was the organization’s president for two years.

He will be remembered by his friends as a dedicated AIDS activist, which he became following the 1992 death of his daughter Alison.

Mr. Gertz is survived by his wife of 48 years Carol; his nephew, James Neisloss of Upper Brookville; and two nieces, Susan Neisloss of California and Kathy Leventhal of New Jersey.

Funeral services were private.
