Jessica Ann Carlson (nee Carrella) Of Hampton Bays Dies May 10

Jessica Carlson, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died peacefully on May 10. She was 83.

Carlson was born on April 22, 1939 in New York City (Inwood) and lived in Hampton Bays for the past 20-plus years.

“Jessie,” as her friends knew her, and her husband joined many friends who also moved from Inwood to retire in the Hampton Bays area. She had a large circle of friends. Carlson was a member of the Irish-American Society. She loved decorating her home and shopping and spoiling her family.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Eugene A. Carlson; her children, Richard Carlson (JeanMarie), Susan Crimi (Joseph) and Linda Schmidt (Frank); as well as six grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kevin, Gus, Sean, Jake and Julia.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org).
