Joan Ann Bricker
Joan Ann Bricker (née Stumme) of Pennsylvania, formerly of Southampton, died at the Butler Memorial Hospital in Pennsylvania on Sunday, April 3. She was 79.
Born on October 22, 1931, at Southampton Hospital, she was the third of six children of Herman and Bertha (née Bennett) Stumme.
She graduated from Southampton High School and worked at the First National Bank. She married and moved to Sarver, Pennsylvania, in 1956. She was a member of the Slate Lick Presbyterian Church, where she was also a member of the Women’s Aide group and head of the church library.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Donald E. Bricker; two daughters, Deborah and her husband James Frantz, and Cynthia L. Bricker; siblings, Shirley Phillips of Southampton, Marjorie Squires of Water Mill, and Ronald Stumme of Southampton; three grandchildren, Jason, Eric and Kimberly Frantz; three great-grandchildren, Lila, Andrew and Benjamin Frantz. She was predeceased by two brothers, Herman Stumme Jr. and Richard A. Stumme; and a nephew, Bud Alan Stumme.
Funeral services were held at the Slate Lick Presbyterian Church. Interment followed at the church cemetery.
