Joan Monaco Dies At 78

Joan Monaco

Joan Monaco, a resident of East Quogue since 1976 and formerly of Forest Hills, died in California while visiting family on Tuesday, November 29. She was 78.

Ms. Monaco retired after 37 years as an advertising executive for Saatchi and Saatchi Inc. of Manhattan. Her favorite hobby was painting.

She is survived by her daughter, Christina Kahn, and her husband Geoffrey of California; and two grandchildren, Cameron and Ellis Kahn. She was predeceased by her brother, John Liptay.

A graveside funeral service was held on Saturday, December 3, at Southampton Cemetery, the Reverend William Gil officiated. The funeral arrangements were under the direction of the J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays.
