Joanne Shea Cole Dies November 27

Joanne Shea Cole died from pancreatic cancer on November 27 in Albany. She was 69.

A lifelong vegetarian and yogi, Ms. Cole’s devoted her life to healing practices and service to others. Always seeking to improve herself, survivors said, she was actively in the process of getting a degree in addiction counseling at the time of her death. She divided her time between her homes in Malibu, California, and Hollywood, Florida. Survivors said she loved the beach and the ocean and that no place was more special to her than East Hampton, where she spent many happy years.

Ms. Cole is survived by her partner of 25 years, Sandy Cole; her son, David Shea and wife Laura; and her granddaughters, Sophie and Tatum Shea.

Private memorial services will take place later this year in the Hamptons and in California.

Patricia C. Farrell of Sag Harbor Dies November 17

Patricia C. Farrell of Sag Harbor died on November 17 on Quioque. She was 92. A visitation will take place on Friday, November 21, from 3-7 p.m. at the Brockett Funeral Home in Southampton. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 22, at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Sag Harbor. I read with deep attention to detail the almost full-page story on the lack of parking during the busy summer months in Westhampton Beach [“Westhampton Beach Village Board Exploring Paid Parking Options,” 27east.com, November 10].
