John Albert Huey Jr. of Southampton died at home on October 23, 2018, of natural causes. He was 90.

Mr. Huey was born in Philadelphia on June 27, 1928, to Helen of Darby, Ireland, and John Huey Sr. Mr. Huey was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving 23 years, and receiving an honorable discharge and medals of good conduct.

He was a devout Protestant and longtime member of the Southampton Elks Club.

Mr. Huey is survived by his wife, Joan; his son, John III; a daughter, Joan; and four grandchildren. He also leaves behind Hunter, his 8-year-old Maltese.
