John C. Baier of Eastport died on July 25. He was 52.
Mr. Baier will be most remembered for his sense of humor, his talents in music, and most certainly his huge and generous heart, survivors said.
Perhaps his biggest mark left on the world would be in his relationship with his students of piano. He brought the joy and understanding of music to each of them in a way that no one else could.
He is survived by his longtime partner, Kate McNeil of Eastport.
Family and friends will gather Saturday, August 20, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, August 21, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Follett and Werner Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach.
A reception will follow at the American Legion Hall in Eastport from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to a local animal shelter.
