John “Jack” Elton Sellers of East Quogue died on Tuesday, May 13. He was 94.
Born in Manhattan on July 31, 1913, Mr. Sellers served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1946, and was the owner two Exxon gas stations in Jackson Heights, Queens, for more than 50 years.
Mr. Sellers is survived by his wife, Sophie Sellers, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by a brother, William Sellers; and two sisters, Eleanor Bell and Emily McCallen.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 20, at 2 p.m. at Calverton National Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Follett and Werner Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach.
