John 'Jack' Murray Of Remsenburg Dies January 2

John “Jack” Murray of Remsenburg and Punta Gorda, Florida, died on January 2.

Mr. Murray was born in the Bronx in 1926, the only son of Nora Tuohy and Michael Murray. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II. Formerly with the Nassau County Police Department, he was a retired senior court clerk in the New York State court system.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Murray; stepsons, Michael Erwin and wife Denise and Richard Erwin.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Punta Gorda. Local arrangements were under the direction of the Follett and Werner Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach.
