John Mitchell of Eastport died at his home on Friday, November 21. He was 69.
Mr. Mitchell was born in Bay Shore on November 9, 1939, and was a retired lineman and member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local Union 1049.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine; a daughter, Laura McLaughlin; a son, Paul Mitchell; and four grandchildren, Amanda, Devin, Lucas and Paul Jr.
A wake and prayer service was held at the Follett and Werner Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach on November 25, with the Reverend Tim Conklin officiating. Private cremation followed.
