Jonathan M. Fava Of Hampton Bays Dies March 5

Jonathan M. Fava died on March 5, 2020, at Peconic Bay Medical Center. He was 25.

Born June 14, 1994, at Southampton Hospital, he was a lifelong resident of Hampton Bays. He worked at JP Mulvey Plumbing and Heating, and was loved by his co-workers, was a great problem-solver and enjoyed working with his hands, survivors said.

Together with his fiancée, Kelly Lynn, he was the father of Amelia, born on July 4, 2018. Survivors said he was a devoted and loving father and loved time spent with his family, as well as time at his grandfather’s farm in upstate New York.

In addition to his daughter, he is survived by his mother, Julia and fiancé Kevin; his brother, Ciaran; his father, Sal; grandparents, Geraldine Mulvey, Cathy and Sal Fava; and aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, whom he callled “Pop Pop,” James P. Mulvey, with whom he shared a special bond.

Visitation is at Scott-Rothwell Funeral Home in Hampton Bays on Wednesday, March 11, from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at the Church of St. Rosalie in Hampton Bays on Thursday, March 12, at 10:30 a.m.
