Joseph J. Murnane Dies At 89

Joseph J. Murnane

Joseph J. Murnane of Commack died at the Gurwin Nursing Center in Commack on Sunday, November 20. He was 89.

A World War II Air Force veteran, he was a retired aircraft mechanic for the Grumman Corp.

He is survived by his wife, Annabelle Lee Murnane (née Trainor); children, Sharon and her husband Jeffrey Werlick of Farmingville, Kevin Murnane of Colorado, Colleen Murnane of Commack and Maura and her husband Scott Jeffrey of Hampton Bays; grandchildren, Corrine, Justin, Krystal, Scotty; great-grandchild, Tyler; siblings, Eugene, Gerald, James Murnane and Patricia McKay.

Visitation took place on Wednesday, November 23, and Friday November 25, at Brueggemann Funeral Home in East Northport. Funeral services were held Friday, November 25, at the funeral home with the Rev. James Watrud officiating. Interment with military honors followed on Tuesday, November 29, at Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, L.I. Chapter, 45 Park Avenue, Bayshore, NY 11706.

The person stated to Westhampton Beach Village Police that the postcard had disturbing and false information regarding a finch bird.
