Joseph Matthew Votypka
Joseph Matthew Votypka of Hampton Bays died at the Peconic Bay Medical Center on Tuesday, September 6. He was 83.
Mr. Votypka was a retired baker and owner of the Glasstetters Bakery in Scotch Plains, New Jersey.
Mr. Votypka served as an usher at the Church of St. Rosalie in Hampton Bays. He enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his second wife Patricia; children, Richard J. Votypka and his wife Marylou of Huntington and Donna M. Ragusa and her husband Joseph of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Michael and Kim Votypka, and Krista and Matthew Ragusa; and three great-grandchildren, Jordan, Xavier and Braxton Ragusa. He was predeceased by his first wife, Pearl, and a grandson, Richard Votypka.
Visitation and a parish prayer service were held at the J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays on Friday, September 9. A funeral Mass took place on Saturday, September 10, at St. Rosalie’s Roman Catholic Church. Interment followed at Good Ground Cemetery.
