Joseph Maurice Immesberger of East Quogue died on November 11. He was 69.
He was born March 11, 1953, in Great Neck to parents Joseph Maurice Immesberger and Antoinette Marie Immesberger.
He pursued his life with passion and curiosity, his family said. Builder of both objects and worlds, he was an artist, musician, philosopher, and jester. There was nothing that he could not create or fix. In addition to his 40-plus years in carpentry and construction, he was known for his innate artistic skills. His years of artwork included many forms of painting, sculpture, and, more recently, writing. He played his guitars and loved all genres of music. He had the joy of fishing and boating living on the East End. And, of course, his family was his heart, they said.
He is survived by his children Ryan J. Immesberger (Toria) and Tia G. Immesberger; his partner Lisa Keuchen and son Matthew Macrini; sister JoAnne Immesberger (Mark Marchisio); and granddaughter Leona Claire Immesberger.
A celebration of his life will follow in the spring.
