Joseph Patrick Ford Jr. Of Hampton Bays Dies December 5

Joseph Patrick Ford Jr. of Hampton Bays, formerly of Seaford, died at home on December 5. He was 85.

Mr. Ford was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving during the Korean War. He was retired from the New York City Fire Department and a retired iron worker with Iron Workers Union Local 40 in New York City.

He is survived by three children, Joseph Ford of California, Lianne Procopio of Ronkonkoma and Guy Ford and wife Ellen of Massapequa; five grandchildren, Dominique, Ryan, Amber, Nicholas and Gina; and a cousin, Ann.

A funeral Mass was held on December 10 at St. William the Abbot Roman Catholic Church in Seaford. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays and the Charles G. Schmitt Funeral Home in Seaford. Burial was at Calverton National Cemetery with military honors.
