Joseph V. Kuch of Beach Haven, New Jersey, formerly of Bridgehampton, died at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, February 1. He was 74.

Born in Bridgehampton to Vincent and Agnes Kruszesky Kuch, Mr. Kuch earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Clarkson College in 1959. After graduation he served as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and went on to earn a Master of Business Administration degree from City College of New York in 1966. Mr. Kuch was a licensed professional civil engineer in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey and Puerto Rico, and lived with his family in Briarcliff Manor for more than 40 years before retiring to Beach Haven.

He is survived by his wife and best friend of more than 50 years, Dolores Kuch (née Pisano) of New Jersey; children, Stacey of Manhattan, Margaret and her husband Ken of New Jersey; and grandchildren, Shane and Amanda.

A memorial Mass will be held at the Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Bridgehampton on Friday, February 10, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Sacred Hearts Roman Catholic Cemetery in Southampton.
