We have such an enthusiastic mayor: Mayor Bill Manger going out into the ocean and playing victim [“Mayor Plays the Victim in Water Rescue Drill,” Page A1 photo, September 25]. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think this has to be a first, and I would bet that no other Southampton elected official has done this before. I was joyful to see the smile on Mayor Bill’s face after being rescued.
Kudos to The Southampton Press for putting these event pictures on the front page. Joy over negativity.
