Judith Nagle Hallock, Formerly Of Westhampton, Dies December 12

Judith Nagle Hallock died at her home in Efland, North Carolina, on December 12 from complications of Parkinson’s disease. She was 68.

Ms. Hallock was born on February 9, 1945, in Boston. Her parents were Alexander C. Nagle Jr. and Mary C. Nagle; she had a twin brother, Alexander C. Nagle III, and a younger sister, Laura Wilson.

She attended elementary and middle schools in Scarsdale, and the Knox School (high school) in St. James. She also attended the American School in Switzerland after graduation in 1963. Her main extracurricular activities were horseback riding and teaching riding to children during summers.

After marriage to Zachariah R. Hallock on December 27, 1966, in Westhampton, she resided in New York City, where she worked as a fashion model, was a travel adviser for AAA and taught driving in Brooklyn.

From 1970 to 1977 she resided in Miami, where her children were born, followed by Long Beach, Mississippi, from 1977 to 2004. She then moved to Efland in 2004 to be near her children.

Survivors said her joys in life were her family and taking care of horses and other animals, as well as teaching riding and boarding horses.

Ms. Hallock is survived by her husband of 47 years, Zachariah R. Hallock; a son, Zeb Hallock and wife Amanda, and their son Darwin; a daughter, Deborah Gunter and husband Matthew, and their daughters, Emma and Cecilia; and her sister, Laura Wilson

She was predeceased by her brother, Alexander C. Nagle III, in 1981.

There was no funeral service. Arrangements were under the direction of the Cremation Society of the Carolinas in Raleigh, North Carolina. Memorial donations may be made to UNC Hospice, www.unchealthcare.org.
