Karen E. O'Connor Of Hampton Bays Dies January 13

Karen E. O’Connor of Hampton Bays died on January 13, 2017. She was 50.

She was the daughter of Robert Scanlon Sr. and the late Elizabeth Hasil. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Scanlon. She is survived by her husband, Greg F. O’Connor; children, Brian Joseph O’Connor, Heather Rae O’Connor and Jennifer Ruth O’Connor; two sisters, Debra Yeager and husband Edwin, and Susan Scanlon; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Tuesday, January 17, at Scott Funeral Home. A funeral service was held at the Church of St. Rosalie in Hampton Bays on January 18, followed by burial at Good Ground Cemetery in Hampton Bays. Arrangements were under the direction of the Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays.

Memorial donations may be made to the Karen O’Connor Memorial Fund.

Southampton DWI Arrests for the Week of December 12

William Campos Lopez, 26, of Speonk was arrested on December 8, at 3:40 a.m., by Quogue Village Police charged him with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. He was pulled over after being observed speeding and failing to maintain his lane on Montauk Highway, police said.
