Keith Monroe Wilson of Eastport died on November 25, after a long illness, surrounded by his family. He was 57.
Mr. Wilson was born on June 30, 1958, the son of Arlene Wilson and Kenneth L. Wilson. He graduated from Eastport High School in 1976, and attended Morrisville University. After college he was employed by Coca Cola Bottling Company and went on to become a consultant with Coca Cola in Atlanta.
As a young man, his love of music led him to co-found a band known as The Bridge Gang, which played the music circuit in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Other members of the band were Kevin Skarka, Grant Werner and Pete Jespersen.
Mr. Wilson is survived by Susan Chiaramonte; a son, Kenneth Ian Wilson of Georgia; a daughter, Christa Rae Wilson and husband Nathan O’Brien of Georgia; and grandson, Benjamin Eliot O’Brien. He is also survived by his mother, Arlene Dougherty, and stepfather, Chris Dougherty of Center Moriches; a brother Mark Andrew Wilson and wife Brigitte of Virginia; nephews Adam Wilson, Noah Wilson and Luke Wilson, and their families, all of Virginia; and many aunts, uncles and cousins from this area.
A memorial service was held on November 28, at South Bay Bible Church in East Moriches with Pastor Martin Hawley officiating. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Follett and Werner Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach.
