Kelly Marie Cesare, born Kelly Marie Moulton, of Southampton died on September 17, surrounded by her dearest loved ones which allowed her to let go after a long and courageous battle. She was 32.

She was born March 13, 1990, at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset to Bob and Deborah Moulton, their third and favorite child, family members said.

Her childhood was riddled with illness, but her personality shined with the brightness of a thousand suns, according to her family. She persevered and succeeded.

She earned a master’s degree in child psychology from St. Johns University — the same school her father earned an MBA 30 years prior.

In her 20s, she found love in the arms of Alex John Cesare, her family said, and they traveled and squeezed life out of every day as if it were their last. The couple was the face of newly legalized surrogacy in New York State, her family said, as she could not bear children, and in May they welcomed baby Nora Josephine Cesare.

She was a member of the Basilica Parish of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary and frequently attended Mass as religion was very important to her, her family said.

She is survived by her husband, daughter, parents, brothers, niece, nephew and dog, Ruca. She was predeceased by her great-mother Josie; both sets of grandparents; Uncle Jimmy; Aunt Lizzy; Aunt Maryann; and Uncle George.

A wake was held at Brockett Funeral Home in Southampton on September 22, and a funeral was held to celebrate her life on September 23 at the Basilica Parish of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to support her daughter, Nora, by going to GoFundMe.com and searching for “Kelly Marie Cesare.”

Southampton Town Moves To Rezone Hampton Bays Gateway, Potentially Halting Cannabis Shop

Southampton Town has proposed rezoning a portion of Montauk Highway leading into the Hampton Bays business district — a planning realignment that was recommended long ago and brought forward now in what appears to be an attempt to derail plans for a cannabis dispensary in an abandoned bank building, which has faced public opposition. The Town Board held a public hearing last week on the proposal to rezone about 26 properties along Montauk Highway to the east of the Hampton Bays hamlet center from “highway business” to “hamlet commercial.” The change would mean smaller-scale development, more green space between structures ... by Michael Wright
