Sag Harbor native Kenneth David Bradford died on October 12 at the Hampton Care Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Southampton. A U.S. Army veteran, he was 72.

Born February 16, 1936, in Southampton to Marjorie (née Fournier) and Kenneth B. Bradford, he graduated from Pierson High School in Sag Harbor.

He is survived by a sister, Joan Maroney of Sag Harbor and a niece, Elizabeth Hagerman.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17, at 4:00 p.m., at Oakland Cemetery in Sag Harbor.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 102454, Atlanta, GA 30368-2454 would be appreciated by the family.

Within the narrow scope which it inhabits, it’s hard to argue with your May 22 editorial, “Standing Firm,” which salutes Congressman Nick LaLota for his insistence on raising the federal income tax deduction cap on state and local taxes (SALT) in the budget package before the House of Representatives.
