U.S. Representative Nick LaLota has been named vice chair of the For Country Caucus, a bipartisan group of military veterans in the U.S. House of Representatives dedicated to strengthening national security, supporting veterans, and fostering principled leadership in Congress.
“I am honored to serve as vice chair of the bipartisan For Country Caucus for the 119th Congress. As a Navy Veteran, I understand the values of service, teamwork, and putting country before party — principles that guide our work in Congress,” LaLota said in a statement. “The For Country Caucus unites Republican and Democrat Veterans to advance policies that strengthen our national security, support our veterans, and enhance military readiness. This caucus has a proven track record of delivering results for those who serve, and I look forward to working with my colleagues to ensure we continue making a meaningful impact for our veterans, military, and nation.”
The caucus typically works on legislation related to national defense and veterans affairs, and policies that reinforce democratic institutions. It seeks to foster civility in Congress and ensure that government functions effectively for the American people, noted a press release.
