Dear Neighbor,
It’s a very sad afternoon for us, as, at the last minute, we had to cancel a pool/lunch date at our home, due to the all-day deafening project of sawing trees and chip grinding that started at your home early this morning.
Yes, it’s dynamite that you love to maintain your property—but does it ever occur to you that this particular project could easily have been done any day in the spring, fall or winter, versus during the two out of 12 months in the year when everyone here can actually sit outside and enjoy their backyards and pools?
Everyone who lives here is adversely affected by this excessive noise today, and I know that no one who owns in here has any regard for the others’ sanctuary, and without stronger codes in the village it will continue to be an issue, as it always has been.
But I do feel the need to point it out to you, because it’s beyond impossible to even be at our home on this beautiful summer Friday—and I really believe you just don’t get it.
Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, your neighbor.
Marilyn Di Carlo-AmesQuogue
