Blocked From Ballot

Once again, thanks to my own party, an election was decided in the courtroom instead of the voting booth. To keep me off the ballot, other candidates spent money, a lot of time, and called me names, questioning my motives and character.

I am proud that I received the endorsement of the Working Families Party over the other candidates. I am sorry that now they are trying to steal it.

I am proud that my team and I were able to gather more than enough signatures to get on the ballot. The New York State Legislature is passing laws to make running for office and voting easier. I’m sorry that Southampton voters will not be able to fully benefit from these changes this year.

I was happy to hear from so many registered Democrats who were excited to vote for a woman and true Democrat to represent them on the Town Council.

I’m sorry they won’t be able to do that this year.
