Lillian P. Dubicki dies at 64

Lillian Pauline Dubicki of Mastic died on November 6. She was 64.

Mrs. Dubicki is survived by her husband, Zbigniew “Benny” Dubicki of Mastic; a son, Adam Dubicki and his wife Constance of Tennessee; two daughters, Elizabeth Kramer and her husband Stephen of Shirley, and Irene Hughes and her husband Edward of Tennessee; three sisters, Carmela Lawrence and Judy Maberino of Tennessee and Rosemarie T. Zenker of Mastic; and seven grandchildren, Tara Hahn of Ridge, Jason Hahn, Brian Hahn of Shirley, Stephanie Kramer of Shirley, Coral Hughes of Tennesee, Marissa Hughes of Tennesee, Lysette Dubicki of Tennesee.

The family received visitors on November 8 and 9 at Sinnicksons Moriches Funeral Home. Funeral services were held on November 10, at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church in Center Moriches, followed by interment at St. Isidore’s Cemetery in Riverhead.

A recent story [“Divided Southampton Town Board Approves Funding for Affordable Housing on Quiogue,” 27east.com, August 27] relates the Town Board’s discussion leading to a 3-2 vote to award $2.7 million in Community Housing Fund money for a 79-unit workforce housing project on Quiogue. I must say, my stomach turned as I read the antisemitic diatribe Richard Smith submitted [“A War Crime,” Letters, September 4] about heinous acts apparently committed by the surrounded, out-gunned, out-manned Jewish forces defending themselves after the State of Israel was created by the United Nations in 1948.
