A Wild Night!

The Quogue Wildlife Refuge celebrated its 13th annual Wild Night for Wildlife Gala on Saturday, July 13, and we are so grateful to so many individuals and businesses who helped to make it a success.

We had a record-breaking live auction this year, thanks to friends and advocates Jim Cramer and Bill Ritter, who were our auctioneers for the event and lit up the stage with great energy!

Guests enjoyed delicious food and beverages prepared by Justin’s Chop Shop, Hamlet Organic Farm, Keenan’s Oyster Company, Taconic Distillery, Hampton Coffee Company, Basic Sugar, Tate’s, and Zuzi’z Zookiez.

This year, the refuge is celebrating 50 summers of Nature Camp, and we were thrilled to honor Kevin Crowe for his support of science and education in the community and here at the refuge. We are grateful to our Humanitarian Level Sponsor, the Belt deRopp Hart Weinman family; to our Benefactor Level Sponsors, Charles and Anne Mott, Sandy Pershing and Marc Keller, and Marvin Shanken; and our Environmentalist Level Sponsor, the late Stephen Weiner.

Folks had a great time dancing to live music by Noiz, walking the magical fairy-lit paths and mingling with our resident animals. The tent was made beautiful by Dragonfly Landscape Design, Flowers by Rori, and Aspatuck Gardens.

More than 100 local businesses donated amazing prizes for our live, silent, and chance auctions—please visit our website to learn who these generous businesses are.

Thank you to our VIP reception photographers, Vivid Vision Photo-Graphics and Ozark Images; and main event photographers, Amanda Bellenir and John Neely. Thank you to our Benefit Committee and all of the volunteers who made this night possible.

How wonderful for the Refuge to be in such a supportive community!
