Lois M. Young of Hampton Bays died on Monday, October 20, at the Golden Living Center in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. She was 80.
Born on July 26, 1928, in New York City to Clarence and Marjorie (Igoe) Lawall, she married Harry J. Young, Jr. on February 12, 1949. According to survivors, she enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Harry J. Young III and his wife Sandra of Bonneauville, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Heather Slattery and her husband Michael, Heidi Branigan and her husband Joseph, and Erik Young; and a great-grandson, Aiden Branigan
Her husband, Harry J. Young Jr., predeceased her in 2004; she was also predeceased by two brothers.
A wake was held at the Kenworthy Funeral Home in Bonneauville on October 24. Interment, to be scheduled at a later date at Good Ground Cemetery in Hampton Bays, will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hampton Bays Fire Department, 69 Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, NY 11946 would be appreciated by the family.
