The third annual Shinnecock Oyster Festival will take place on Saturday, October 11, from 1 to 7 p.m. on the Shinnecock Powwow grounds. Freshly harvested Shinnecock oysters and other fare, along with live music, local vendors and fun activities for the whole family, will be featured throughout the day. The event is free and open to all. The oysters are grown, farmed and harvested by the Shinnecock Environmental Department, highlighting the nation’s commitment to sustainability and stewardship of local waters.
