Lorraine Ann Markowski of Southampton died on July 15. She was 70.
Born Lorraine Ann Barrett on January 15, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York , her family eventually moved to eastern Long Island and settled in Southampton, where she met her husband of 50 years, Henry Markowski and together they began their family.
Ms. Markowski started her career as a Suffolk County employee and then raised her five children while taking care of the family home in Southampton. She later became a real estate agent in Southampton and enjoyed volunteer work with various organizations on the East End. She enjoyed traveling with family and road trips to the country and mountains in the northeast.
She was predeceased by her daughter Diane Lindley. She is survived by her husband Henry; her sons Robert, Timothy, and Stephen; her daughter Marie and son-in-law Armando; and three grandchildren, Tyler, Daisy, and Angelina. She is also survived by her sister Christine of Southampton; her brother John of Florida; and many nieces and nephews
Ms. Markowski was buried at the Sacred Hearts Roman Catholic Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the O’Connell-Rothwell Funeral Home in Southampton.
