Louis A. Thayer of Water Mill died on October 7 at his home. He was 83.

Visitation was scheduled on October 8 at the Brockett Funeral Home in Southampton. A funeral service will be held today, Thursday, October 9, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Bridgehampton. Interment will follow at Edgewood Cemetery in Bridgehampton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to East End Hospice, P.O. Box 1048, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978 would be appreciated by the family.

Our Sag Harbor park tennis courts are under siege. There are eight clay courts and two hard courts.
