Lucille K. Dunne of Southampton died, surrounded by her family, on February 23, 2019, at Southampton Hospital. She was 70.

Ms. Dunne was born May 20, 1948, in Brooklyn, to Edward T. Dunne and Kathryn N. Dunne. A graduate from Fontbonne Academy in Brooklyn, she earned a degree in nursing at Molloy College in Rockville Centre, graduating in 1970; and a master’s degree in nursing at New York University. As a nurse, she specialized in rehabilitation and worked at NYU Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering in Manhattan. In 1980 she moved to Southampton, and worked at Southampton Hospital for 19 years, and then was director of medical review at Island Group Administration in East Hampton, until 2018. Ms. Dunne was very active in her community of North Sea. She was co-chair of the North Sea Citizens Advisory committee and was a member of the Solid Waste Advisory Committee for Southampton Town.

In addition to her husband of 43 years, Sean M. Dunne, she is survived by her daughter, Kathryn; her sister-in-law, Gail Dunne; her nieces, Meredith and Tara Dunne; and nephews, Brendan and wife Nicole Dunne, Tim and wife Terry Hurley, and their children. She is also survived by her husband’s family in Ireland. She was predeceased by her parents; and a brother, Edward T. Dunne Jr.

A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 7, at 10:30 a.m. at the Roman Catholic Church of St. Patrick in Brooklyn, followed by burial at Greenwood Cemetery. Local arrangements are under the direction of the O’Connell Rothwell Funeral Home in Southampton.

A memorial service will also be held at the North Sea Firehouse in spring. Flowers may be sent to St. Patrick’s in Brooklyn. Memorial donations may be made to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital.
