Mabel Luther of East Quogue died on March 30 at the Hamptons Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Southampton. She was 89.
Ms. Luther was a real estate agent in Westhampton Beach for many years and had lived in East Quogue since 1966.
She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, David G. Luther; and a daughter, Jean Thompson. She is survived by a daughter, Diane Dedicke and husband Wayne of Calverton; a sister, Ann Entwistle of Florida; and five grandchildren, Sherri Luther, Jefferey and Dawn Kearns, and Donald G. and Kevin M. Barrett; and six great-grandchildren, Corey Luther, Dawson Palmer, Sydney Palmer, Kaitlyn Lucas, Sophya Smith and Gabryella Smith; and a great-great-grandson, Cody Luther.
Visiting was at the J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays on April 2. A prayer service took place on April 4 conducted by clergy from the Church of St. Rosalie. Burial followed at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Coram.
