The Suffolk County Police Department has named Mauricio Cruz one of its “most wanted,” and Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information that leads to his arrest. He’s being sought for a felony violation of probation and is believed to be in Flanders in the area near Flanders Road, authorities said.
Mr. Cruz is on probation for a first-degree robbery with a firearm conviction. He was ordered to wear a GPS tracking bracelet and, police said, he removed the device and left it on the side of the road.
According to the Crime Stoppers bulletin, Mr. Cruz has a history of violence. He’s described as a Hispanic man with black hair and brown eyes, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 180 pounds. He has a tattoo of the Snapchat ghost on his left ring finger.
